Every DRG knew about Drakesbane, it was definitely heralded as the best thing to happen for DRGs since the 2hd update, and no one didn't know about the questline. Point is though it was never something simple to obtain.

You didn't misspeak, you clearly said that without the mythic or relic there was no way to get the weapon skill. You even went far enough to say that "It wasn't rocket science". And yes, it was pretty simple to get. If you spent that much time making a cure breath set, then you should have spent the time unlocking the weapon skill. If you weren't skilled enough to get to floor 100, then it was still do-able. If you cared about the job as much as you imply, you would have had it.
