Again you are picking the absolute worst possible examples of Jumping in Final Fantasy. Mainly to say they DID ruin the concept of the original game's physics and laws of character movement. That makes them very difficult to connect with when before you may have hopped 6 or so rocks to cross a river then suddenly everyone is a stunt double for Crouching Taru Hidden Meat Sausage.
