    Though there is such a thing as 'realistic fantasy'. It's still fantasy but still has hints of realism, iirc is technically defined as 'Low Fantasy'.

    Conan I would define as low fantasy, FF is as about as far away from low fantasy as you can get.

    But that's wrong. FFXIV has been high fantasy since it was announced.

    Fantasy may not be realistic but that doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't be rendered realistically.
