Naw you don't get it. I'm in development and graphic arts for my day job and honestly if I had customers with the mentality of this community which is largely "gimme gimme gimme... oh wait. @#$% I didn't want it really"; I would have the company shutdown the product (which has been done to come clients)

SE takes the time to listen to the polls, forum comments various other outlets; while some of the implemented stuff is asinine (see 0/8 double melds for my dam relic) they for the most part listen to the players. Yet all we have are whining threads about how it's bad for FF. The game can't get worse than launch.

    2.0 is very exciting.

I think at this point Square Enix knows that a movement system "that focuses on a more creative way of doing things" isn't going to compete with other MMO's on the market. Animation locks are one thing, but to not have the fluidity of movement like WoW or SWtOR has, is putting them one step behind with a lot of players, especially veterans of any of the titles to which I'm speaking about. They'll also lose a lot of new youth players as well. The movement system as it stands is clunky and archaic, and needs updating/upgrading on the whole. Hopefully they understand this. It worked in FFXI, because it WAS the most fluid way of doing things back then. Now? Not so much.
