    If its not just an emote then I dont even think it would be possible to hide it. The only thing I think SE could do is make blacklisted characters not show on your screen, so if someone is bunny hopping all around you just to piss you off you can blist them and not have to worry about it.
    None of us know if it's possible or not, but perhaps we could get an answer to that. :3
    Perhaps the jumping(while moving) characters could be made to appear to be running, and when jumping standing still, appear not to be moving at all. Perhaps it wouldn't be so simple. We have no idea how jumping works.
    It's ok to ask though. We don't expect anything.

    Choice/ability to jump that pretty much does nothing = not waste of resources
    Choice/ability to toggle animation = waste of resources

    Multiple arguments going on here. It's like ships passing in the night.

    The problem is people have completely different assumptions about jump and and are arguing from very different starting points... (Those of you here that have figured this out are likely also pulling your hair out reading some of the posts here)

    Anyhow, I think I can sum it up as follows.

    Option A) IF Jump does nothing at all but act as an emote, then /Jump is indeed a waste of resources. In addition, many players would like add a toggle to it (and all emotes) to spare them from the bunny hoppers. -- a reasonable request.

    Option B) IF Jump has real relevance in game-play, (allows players to climb short cliffs, fences, etc..) then a toggle for it would be pointless, and those asking for it are being extremely picky.

    The real problem with this thread is that many people don't want to admit that Option A now is 99% confirmed.

    People can argue about wanting Option B all day long, but this isn't the thread for it. This thread is predicated on the very real indication that Option A is what we are getting.

    Until we hear otherwise, asking for a /jump (and I'd say full /emote) toggle is a perfectly reasonable request.

    99.5% of statistics are made up on the spot. We've had one interview which gave an example that was based around battle mechanics. There's also a screenshot which shows a character jumping off of a cliff. Neither is confirmed or even near confirmed.

    certainly agree and I doubt Ingolf disagrees seems he was specifically talking about the 99% confirmed I would say its 50/50

    In one of the interviews it was said that he pressed the space bar and made his character jump, but it had no animations yet so it just floated into the air.

    My point is that why would it be an emote like /jump if it's on the space bar? This decision was influenced by most mmo's ability to jump, and even wow has been said to be an influence by yoshi. So, wow being an influence, jump being on the space bar, the maps being completely re-done(which would allow for terrain to be able to jump up onto and more freedom in your movement). How does this not sound like an actual useful jump thats not just a /jump?

    The OP should have said:

    IF jump is a useless emote-style action, then I would like to see a visibility toggle for it.

    We could argue about it all the way up to 2.0, but I think Zantetsuken said it best:
