I must say, I'm in total agreement with Zaaku. The major appeal of XIV is it's grounded and realistic style, from the armor design to character animations. XIV nailed a visual style sweet spot, where things look functional and plausible, but also aesthetically interesting. Not ridiculous female bikini armor with frivolous spikes and glowing appendages, but also not plain and boring cloth and chainmail. It's a style that I hope they keep going into 2.0, and I'd lose a lot of interest in XIV if it loses that aspect

Anyway, to the point, I don't mind jumping if it's tasteful, but I have a feeling it's going to clash with the rest of the game's aesthetics. And since it will have no use mechanically, all adding a jump feature serves to do is harm the overall game
