Why would we care about the opinions of someone who knows nothing of the situation?
lol Neither do you. You honestly thinking it's just an emote is your way of denying the inevitable. Jumping is jumping... If it was just an emote Yoshi would have said, an emote that lets players jump. But he said jump for the people who want to jump... It won't help you in combat situations (read: gameplay), but it might help you to jump over a fence.
You'd better be off asking for clarification of what they mean before asking for a toggle for something that it possibly wouldn't even work for.
edit: Yep I'm posting in it too, but because it highly amuses me.

I know enough about general game design to know that based on what I have been told, it's likley that it's going to be an animation. If you've read this thread, you'd understand that I'm totally in support of clarification and if jumping involves working with the environment, then I'd think a toggle would be pointless.lol Neither do you. And you don't have to justify posting in this thread for me. I'm not that kinda guy.
yeah... Because history hasnt taught us over and over again that taking everything literally from a translated post/interview is not always the best thing. Until a dev post comes out actually stating its an emote then I think most of us are gonna side with it being an actual jump, even the screen shot suggests that it is. Even the fact that the space bar is used to do it suggests that it is. Most of the time, the quotes and translations are in fact correct, but I wouldn't mind if this one was wrong. I hope it turns out to be more than an action emote made to shut up the people that wanted it. The screenshot means nothing to me, that cliff is no bigger than the ones in the world we have now, and those we can just walk off. Under the situation as I understand it, they have no plans to implement it and the world is not designed with it in mind. Based on that, I see no reason not to have a toggle for it (and honestly even other emotes), and I don't understand why some people are so upset with the idea.yeah...
