ok but will it not bother you to see people slide up or down a cliff?

For the 6th time I've mentioned it in this thread. Yoshi has stated that they have no plans for jumping to effect "any of the gameplay".

The screenshot shows a Lalafel using the jump animation while walking down a small cliff. Something we can already do.

Possibly, I guess we will have to see (though that doesn't look like one of the small cliffs we can currently slide down). Having a gatherer it is annoying as hell not being able to jump up or down small cliffs (which there are still very much a lot that you cant)
