being able to bunny hop around is more realistic than not being able to jump up or down a 1 foot cliff. Not having jump breaks my immersion.

except you are wrong, it wont have any impact for battle, it clearly shows a lala jumping off a cliff, that is what I want jump for. I never once expected to be able to jump up to avoid Ifrit attacks, which wouldn't make any sense at all anyways since they are not just ground attacks but actual explosions.
