There are no plans for using the jump for any elements of gameplay it’s just there for those that want to jump.
So why'd they burn the man hours on it? An at best useless gimmick just to appease some players?

Ahh right it's a game for the players where they want to make the players happy.

Since there are NO plans for it to be more than a /emote in function why not let it be turned off?

Is it really such a big deal to now spend the man hours to add a toggle jump visibility, they spent the hours to let people turn off their head and weapon gear just to make people happy.
