Do you know that it's pointless? I mean as far as we know it doesn't effect battle.

I'd personally prefer to see someone jump up a ledge than hover up a ledge. I'll never understand why people are so against jumping in a game with so many ledges.

Yoshida-san did say in one of the interviews that it's just there to be able to jump and will have no place in battle. ^^;

"Yoshida tapped on the space bar and his male miqo’te jumped up (though due to the nature of the current version there wasn’t any animation for it. There are no plans for using the jump for any elements of gameplay it’s just there for those that want to jump. You won’t be able to jump to avoid Ifrit’s attacks or anything."

It really was just added to shut people up. Just...so people can jump... just to jump. Have fun bouncing everyone. >.>
(I wouldn't mind an option to turn it off and not have to see useless bouncing).

well it is kinda pointless. cause you just walk over most ledges anyway. they only added jump cause the people just bitched and bitched till they added it. which that effort couldve been put to better use.

I'm fine with it if it actualy does let you jump over ledges and junk like that, but as far as interviews have said, the only reason they added it was to satisfy those who wanted a hop button. I want it to have a use outide of looking like you can jump, but based on what I know, I'm not confident.

The only people against jump are pple from XI. It's the only place where you couldn't jump and they just can't stand it for some reason. It seems that they came to the conclusion that jumping is the only thing setting XI appart from the game they hate the most... WOW.

Ironically, XI wasn't the first nor only MMO that lacked Jump. Talk shit at least get facts correct about MMOs with certain mechanics.

I mean, I played XI for 10 years, I also played FLYFF (you jump AND fly..how about that?), Space Cowboy (You fly..), Rapplez, WoW, EQ1,2, GW, Tera, Eden Eternal and Rusty Hearts...yet I don't care for jump..are you going to say because I play FFXI is the reason I don't care for jump? :P
