PC players: do you use your mouse to walk?

I auto-walk a lot.

I use both. I have things set up for both mouse movement and WASD. If I'm using abilities from my main hotbar from the keyboard, then mouse move allows me to move fluidly while still using those abilities. If I'm using the one or two things I have on a hotbar that I click like my Holy spell, then I use WASD if I need to move while using those abilities.

Wait : some people actually don't use the mouse at all ? But it's... Way more confortable though ? It let the player use more macro (and generally, easily reachable one).

I use exclusively mouse movement and auto run. I rebound WASD to my hotbars.

If I'm going for more than a short distance saunter, I'll hit auto-run and direct with the mouse. Sometimes I'll just hit mb 1+mb2 to move if I want to grab a drink or bite of food. Other than that it's usually ASDF + mouse to direct for movement.

Standard controls (never liked legacy), most of my movement consists of me holding W while steering with LMB and RMB. In raids, I'm probably holding LMB down 90% of the time. I just find it easier to position precisely with mouse movement than with keys. My autorun is bound to middle mouse, but I never get a use out of it besides randomly running around Ul'dah. I'll also jump when I need to keep momentum in a specific direction to give my hand a 0.5s break.

Never had a real reason to swap to legacy since I do so much mouse movement.

I've been known to use both mouse buttons to move but only short distances. I do it in other games as well.

Here I normally play with a controller, but if I'm typing a lot and doing minor stuff I'll use mouse / keyboard.

Legacy is useful in higher end content. Need to move out of the bad? You can literally run towards the camera instead of backpedaling or spinning the camera around.

Iirc, FFXI was played without a mouse? Maybe holdover from that.
