    no other game

No other game comes close and I don't get tired of FFXIV. Sometimes I go to limsa to get juiced up by dancing or listening to area chat. Sometimes I look at something interesting to craft that requires, gathering or some interesting additive that isn't normal, such as a treasure map mat or workshop mats. Housing keeps me interested. The island keeps me interested and when I do all that a new patch is coming and I get excited about that. I don't turn my back on FFXIV like some of yall do. I refuse to betray the best game of our time by playing something that will never ever be as good. Please rephrase the post (What's your go-to game when you are suffering from Burnout?) to What's your to-to-game ( if ) you are suffering Burnout because most players don't suffer burnout only a small percentage.

I don't get burn out. Not because I'm not susceptible to it. Everyone is. I just don't let myself get to that point with MMOs anymore. If I finish work for the day and think "Hmm, I don't really think I want to XIV tonight" then I just don't XIV that night. Even when I have dailies. I just think to myself "No biggie. I just won't get that daily for today"

I don't have a go-to game. Sometimes it's my most recent JRPG that I spend time on that night, sometimes an old Assassin's Creed game, sometimes a book or anime or manga. I indulge in whatever strikes my fancy when it's not XIV, then partake in just what I enjoy when I do log into XIV.

I was enjoying Destiny 2 a lot this year, but this season the grind there became rather heavy. The Festival of the Lost was just not great.
I've also been playing Kena: Bridge of Spirits, a wonderful single player game that should delight any FromSoft fan, honestly.
There's always Stardew Valley, and I also have FFVII on my Switch.
I've even been playing some League as of late, but that's garbo.
Sims 4 is another one which I always enjoy.

The vast majority of my gaming time has been in New World. It does appear that is coming to an end though as the end game doesn't look like it will be my cup of tea.

I think I hit my first burnout after 2 solid years, and it wasn't all that bad. I took like two weeks off, played some stuff in my backlog, and then was ready to go again. I take little breaks here and there just so I don't get hit with super burnout, but I've been playing heavily since closed beta 2 after playing 1.0 for a little bit.

Nah, players do suffer burnout. Some go way too hard in playing and then they need to take breaks. It's not a bad thing, and I've not let my sub lapse for any length of time - maybe like, a day or so when I was having some financial difficulties, but I've been subbed for like 3400 days at this point lol. I still have stuff to do, but sometimes I need a break and I'll log in to do easy stuff (island set up, weekly cactpot, etc.) and then I go and do other things. I want to keep playing a game I love without getting tired of it, and I think it's like that for a lot of people - take breaks while just keeping it low effort, socialize while doing something else, stuff like that. It helps with not getting major burnout that leads to quitting for long periods of time.

Been around this game since 1.0 closed betas lol. TBH burnout for me only really happens when I've gotten to the point between content updates where I just log in to do weekly raid loot and cap the cycle's current tier of tomestones. However I'm notorious for multitasking/multiboxing and frequently have multiple games going at the same time... XD

I disagree. I would argue that the majority of players do suffer burnout. Only the minority are playing at end game with most dropping after the story finishes.

I mean, you "could" argue that. You'd be completely wrong, but...you "could"...

I play SMITE, GW2, and a ton of single player games (when not pulled for multiplayer). For Multiplayer I'm currently playing Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, MHR: Sunbreak, and Divinity 2. For single player, I'm finishing up SaGa Frontier Remastered and Star Ocean: The Divine Force (surprised by how good this one is).
