    I assume the devs would argue that Zoe, Soteria, Krasis count as Augmentations and leave it at that, but I did have an idea (the one in the edit) of making SGE's gameplay be all about augmenting your one damage skill (Dosis) in a variety of ways, which would justify the fact it only has Dosis and the DOT. The complexity and interesting optimization stuff would come from choosing which augment to use for which situation, making Kardia AOE for 4 shots, making your damage transfer via Kardia to get more of a 'do damage to heal' identity, creating a shield via Kardia to reward pre-planning for a raidwide by being able to cut out a E.Prognosis cast, etc. Also, the MP costs on GCD stuff would be removed and moved over to the Augments, meaning MP management becomes a part of the gameplay, there'd be a cycle of 'spend addersgall to get MP > spend MP on augments to get addersting > spend addersting on damage and generate addersgall faster > repeat', which would also mean as a side effect, Piety would allow you to dump that spare MP on more augments, which would lead to more damage, which would counteract the fact Piety is pretty crap as a stat because it adds no damage.
