    We're all supposed to know that if it's never happened to them it's just that we don't know what we're doing. I mean I know from experience that no ones experience with this game differs from mine. It can't because there's never any deviation from the norm when games and computers are involved.

    Last night my LS was helping me with the Lv25 fight against Ifrit. I had no choice but to watch the awesome cutscene, but as soon as that was over and I 'entered' the fight, my character was already dead including everyone else (who was Lv50!). Apparently my LS leader used some magic against it (I was unable to see what was done since I was in the CS) and then Ifrit one-shot everyone with Hellfire. We were all laughing at what happened. We think the game had lagged with me, because my LS leader was the only one to have started the fight, and once my character and my friends got ported in, we all got one-shot by Ifrit.

    So, we tried again and this time our BLM50 in the group one-shot Ifrit with Freeze and ended up killing him. He was ported into the fight first and everyone came in after him, and I was the last. For some reason I had to go through the CS again...

    Still, I don't know why all of our games lagged like that unless there were more people trying to do the fight, too.

    It's probably a glitch. I've seen a lot of glitchy stuff in these fights, especially where the environment is involved. It is already common knowledge that your exact 'position' will not appear the same on every person's screen, so when you are standing in the right spot between lava, you may still get hit... and when you are standing directly behind a rock on garuda, you may still get hit. It's unfair, but it's a glitch because of this. Yoshi P also mentioned this issue with his plans to fix it.

    As far as Hellfire doing so much damage... How soon did you kill the nails before he went to the center to Hellfire? If you kill the nails RIGHT before he Hellfires, they may still be counted as part of his Hellfire because they didn't completely register as dead/gone. As others have said, sentinel is a very helpful ability. Be sure to use it IMMEDIATELY when you see him jump to go to the center. If you use it as he's using his ability, it may be too late.

    The "glitch" is that the Primals were adjusted to guarantee the use their two hour.

    Use the Garuda exploit as a clear example. People would kill Garuda before she could get her two hour off so they changed the mechanics so that after a certain phase of the fight, if you drop their HP too much they will instantly use their two hour. The same is true with Ifrit, if you keep damaging him while the nails the up, he will jump early and use his two hour without a casting time.

    Said before that he didnt jump, just teleported to the middle IMMEDIATELY AFTER the last nail was hammered down, then did a hellfire for enough damage to 1 shot most of the people there. If it had been us doing too much damage to him, the hellfire would have killed everyone for max damage, and nails wouldn't have been brought down. The head of the dev team has even said it himself: the fights are not working as intended, and will be removed/replaced by ones that do work as intended in 2.0.
