Pretty much how I feel. I'm gonna play it, odds are I'm going to enjoy it. But I just won't deny that there are other, potentially better stuff that we haven't explored yet. Allagans are just the default option now for anything they make, and they haven't done anything new with Allagan lore for quite a while. And there's not much that boosts hope for that.

Sure, it hasn't been Allagans for a good while in Endwalker. But it's 6.3. Last time we heard of Allagans was in 5.55 with Zadnor.

One of my friends said it best: they're a convenient plot tool, but that tool is well worn. If this is what makes them put it in the shed for good, I'll be pleased because other things can finally be used for plot device tools instead.

Never said you can't be disappointed. We already are getting things unrelated to allag. I listed them. If you choose to dimiss them that's on you. Not a jab btw, just saying

I'm... not?? I've run them??? I enjoy them?? I rarely have grievances about this game, but this is the one thing that I'm actually tired of irt Convenient Plot Devices When We Can't Think Of Anything Else. Lore and worldbuilding are my bread and butter in a game and when Allagan lore is basically a 3000 page book (haha because they were around for 3000 years, that's my Allagan joke today) and lore on every other civiliation is like 2 10-page chapters, I'm going to be chomping at the bit for other stuff. The Sil'dih stuff was GREAT and I'm with others hoping that we get some Nymian lore beyond what we've gotten in the SCH quests with the new diving spots in ARR areas with a new variant dungeon for it... tho tbf, CT is all about the Allagans :P So yes, I'm disappointed, I can air my disappointment after HoH being Allagans, Again and now we're getting another Allagan-themed DD.

I'm glad for the people who like Allagan stuff because hey, they enjoy it and I'm glad someone will enjoy it! I'll be happy for the lore, just wish they'd put the Convenient Plot Tool away for good for something else so I can enjoy other lore.
