Oh no.....As far as I’m concerned this was the last straw for me when it comes to the state of Endwalker content. All I wanted was a decent deep dungeon after going so long with hardly a reason to log into this game regularly.
And instead we’re getting more Allagan nonsense. Well done SE. Really subverted my expectations in the worst way possible at every turn, destroying my confidence in the game bit by bit with each patch.
Merry Christmas indee-oh wait silly me the patch doesn’t come out until January. And this, not until some months later. My patience is well and truly exhausted by now, now that it’s clear Endwalker can’t make a right turn at best or is deliberately designed to spite me at worst.
And so it ends in unceremonious silence.
Anyway

Sorry, am I understanding you correctly in that you are automatically writing off the deep dungeon as 'bad content' because the lore of why it exists is Allagan-based? You don't want to play this portion of the game because of the lore explanation for why it exists?

Not excited with the allagan visuals, don't get me wrong i don't dislike them but it does get tiresome, was hoping something different but oh well.
It is still exciting what new things we get in this DD. While i didn't much like HoH, i did love the Magicite addition to it for example!

Have you seen their other threads? They complained about Zero the day we met her. This complaint is right in line. Even some of the content he's complained about is getting updates to them like the devs said they would. Though the new deep dungeon is just one of a few things we're getting in this patch he won't like and I'm shocked he hasn't made a thread complaining about the crafting tribe yet just because it deals with the Loloprits which he loathes. I guess he could also be angry that one of his assumptions is wrong. As he was one of the few who didn't think we'd touch back in on Garlemald in post 6.0 stuff even though the Twins going there was a dangling thread. Course he probably hates that just due to not having a long enough time away from characters he loathes.
On topic I don't know how I feel about it having yet another connection to Allag. As it's what we ended up having with Heaven on High. I will be interested in seeing how much of the original scrapped Eureka idea we will be getting and who we will be dealing with. As the Crystal Tower's basement was supposed to be what Nero's wrist bobble was to be picking up on. I wonder how many floors it will have and if anything like the animal helpers will be returning or not. As I remember them being hit or miss since they didn't seem to give you much of a boost.
It does feel a little...odd that they're going with another deep dungeon that has ties to the Allagans after Heaven-on-High touched on them as well.
Curious as to if/how it factors into the current scheme of things since I would've expected the original Eureka to come into focus during ShB while the Crystal Tower was fresher in our minds.

Seeing as one of Endwalkers major antagonists was, this isnt a surprise. The connection to this deep dungeon, Crystal Tower, the Aetherochemical Facility as well as most of Shadowbringers being centred around the Tower as well, it makes perfect sense.Amon
We are finally getting the "bigger picture" on who they are / were, and how the pieces fit together.
Looks like fun.
I feel theyre expanding more on the HnH hook ending with Selina and Desch with Eureka.Have you seen their other threads? They complained about Zero the day we met her. I hope we actually do see more visual cues based off of FFIII Eurekan the further you go down

Big yes to both of those. The HoH ending was too "fragment of something bigger" for them to not return to it, and I would love to see them take on the original Eureka's aesthetic.
Allagan has always been one of my least favourite visual styles in the game. Too busy and too many clashing colours.
Coils has a great aesthetic and Spiral is one of the best raid soundtracks in the entire game. Don't see what's wrong with the game embracing a core theme throughout the entire series and using the Allagans for a Deep Dungeon. I get having problems with the game, I certain do when it comes to job design and healers but it's a bit comical when everything becomes a reason to complain. I'm looking forward to playing it.
i never liked the allagans irs not my type of fantasy, not at all. i really hoped it would end with the story-arc in 6.0, but no here we go again. im tired of it
