EndWalker's Deep Dungeon

The new Deep Dungeon takes place in the Binding Coil of Bahamut with the Allagans.
Personally disappointed it wasn't in space like on the Moon or in Ultima Thule or even Elpis. Of all the places we're going back to our roots of Allagans. What is everyone's thoughts?

I don't think it's the Binding Coil, but the actual original Eureka that's been rumoured to be located under the Crystal Tower all this time.

It's what inspired Krile to name the island Eureka, it's where the dungeon was in FF3, and it's been a thing that comes up in theories about future locations for a long time.

Ehh, yeah I wouldve preffered something more visually interesting but I dont mind them revisiting old stuff and ideas in ARR zones.

Especially how theyre adding new diving spots for spearfishing in ARR zones like Upper La Noscea.

Yeah more expanding these old areas please thank you!

As far as I’m concerned this was the last straw for me when it comes to the state of Endwalker content. All I wanted was a decent deep dungeon after going so long with hardly a reason to log into this game regularly.

And instead we’re getting more Allagan nonsense. Well done SE. Really subverted my expectations in the worst way possible at every turn, destroying my confidence in the game bit by bit with each patch.

Merry Christmas indee-oh wait silly me the patch doesn’t come out until January. And this, not until some months later. My patience is well and truly exhausted by now, now that it’s clear Endwalker can’t make a right turn at best or is deliberately designed to spite me at worst.

And so it ends in unceremonious silence.

Sorry, am I understanding you correctly in that you are automatically writing off the deep dungeon as 'bad content' because the lore of why it exists is Allagan-based? You don't want to play this portion of the game because of the lore explanation for why it exists?

It does feel a little...odd that they're going with another deep dungeon that has ties to the Allagans after Heaven-on-High touched on them as well.

Curious as to if/how it factors into the current scheme of things since I would've expected the original Eureka to come into focus during ShB while the Crystal Tower was fresher in our minds.
