I just thought of something! What do you guys think will happen if Hilderbrand's mother fights Zenos?

Zenos would stand no chance. Even the WoL is afraid of Hildibrands mom.
What would happen?
Zenos would CEASE TO EXIST after the encounter!
"You are just going to give me one of those stoic nods aren't you?"
WOL = Nods
(one of my favorite moments)
There world be Garlean for dinner.
Well, I think that when two awful characters do battle then the best resolution is for them to eliminate each other.
Half-joking aside, was it ever confirmed if the Hildy stories are canon? I've always assumed they were just for fun or were exaggerated accounts of events that actually happened.
When you visit the Gold Saucer with Nanamo in 4.1, Godbert will have different dialogue depending on whether or not you've done any of the Hildebrand quests. So while they're not tied into the MSQ, they did happen in canon. Assuming you've done them, of course.
I think the only things in the game that aren't technically canon are Savage and Ultimate fights, Minstrel's Ballad trials, and some extremes like the Warring Triad, as they're all handwaves to include hard modes of things that, for one reason or another, can't actually be re-fought (ie, you can't fight Thordan twice because he's dead).
Hey now, Unukulhai actually gives the WoL the Allagan Tomestones with the Warring Triad Full Power Simulations on them. They're X-men style danger room scenarios. The others are magical variants of that... I prefer the tomestone variety.When you visit the Gold Saucer with Nanamo in 4.1, Godbert will have different dialogue depending on whether or not you've done any of the Hildebrand quests. To answer OP... Maybe for once in his life this would cure Zenos's ennui, and Julyan would have a competent servant afterwards. One she doesn't have to be nice to, who doesn't want her to be nice to him. Hmmm. If it weren't for Godbert, they could be a new power couple :O!

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
I feel like that still fits into the handwave category, since it's not something that's ever come up again. But it's kind of a moot point. Either way, it only exists so we can have Extreme versions of the Triad, because all of their followers are long dead and can't resummon them.
Of course, then we run into the question of how the blue mage trainer learned Sophia's spell.....
