I would imagine that they'd release it soon, it be odd to have interviews to "trickle" the information and not release a site soon after. They wanted E3 to be the point where they grabbed peoples attentions but just showing pictures and some interviews is only slightly better then all those other games that showed trailers.
If they want to keep the impact of the 2.0 anticipation they should release the site by next week so that people will either:
-Be talking about it over the summer and antcipate the trailer whenever they plan on releasing
-Or be so intrigued by the changes and the fact that there's a 1 time story going on that they'll sub to the game.
As it stands now they did kind of shoot themselves int he foot with the May 31st cut off of eligibility for Legacy since I have read around that those who may have considered playing decided not to because they wouldn't be eligible for Legacy. In the grand scheme of things a chance at a 1 time story doesn't trump the fact that they missed out on Legacy, so rather then play a game that isn't 2.0 they will now wait til 2.0 kicks in.
I think perhaps what they should do for people who decided not to play til 2.0 is perhaps issue a challenge for all players past Legacy cutoff date.
-Any new players that enter now and complete the one time storyline will be given the "Destiny" Membership granting them a 11-12/month cost which will grant them 8 chars on each server.
I understand why they cutoff the legacy date to May 31st but I feel like if they want to draw more people in now they should issue a new type of benefit, that's more of a challenge, pushing those to play the game and perhaps make it through the whole story.
But ya I daresay they lost a potential 75% of new members because of the cutoff, they'll just wait til 2.0 comes in if they can't play/pay in hopes that they to gain the benefits that others have received, if you throw them a bone at a chance of some sort of discount for playing now, I believe it would increase their overall profit in the long haul.
