I've been having an issue for a while now, and it seems to be a fairly common issue, but every fix I've tried to look up for this issue hasn't seemed to work.

I have an issue where my controller will just randomly stop working as I'm playing for a good 30-60 seconds (or more), then randomly work again, then stop working again, etc. And sometimes, like today and yesterday, it won't work at all when I boot up the game.

I play with an Xbox controller plugged into a USB port.

-I know it's not the USB port because I have a wireless mouse, and the item to connect the mouse is connected to the USB port I'm not using with my controller, and the mouse works fine when I have the game booted up, and when I switch USB ports, the mouse still works while the controller doesn't.

-I also know it's not the controller because I booted up Final Fantasy V earlier when I couldn't play FFXIV and I could play FFV just fine.

I'm at a loss as to what to do. When my controller quits, I've switched over to play with the keyboard and mouse, but it's so cumbersome to play like that I just end up stopping as soon as I can get to a stopping point. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
