Thanalan music (if it gets changed) and the first few quests in Gridania. The beauty of the Thanalan music is hard to match, and the first few Gridania quests were just awesome.

Rise Against - TorchesThe angels dance like feathers float, they're here to see and to be seen,
The clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings,
Once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave
But I'm still waiting, yeah, and I'm still waiting

Nobody said they are being deleted. One cannot help but wonder though, how some of the cutscenes will remain when the areas they take place in will no longer be in game. Take the primals for example, they will be open world and not instanced, so how would we be able to keep the cutscene for an area that no longer exists?
They could very well remain in game but modified, but I doubt they will remain the same.
Personally, I think the opposite. I think the CS's will remain exactly as they are, a relic from the era before Dalamud's fall. For example, I expect the Ifrit cutscene's to still take place in the Bowl of Embers, because that's where he was bested for that quest.Nobody said they are being deleted. I don't see how that could be possible though, since when a cutscene loads, it calls upon assets from that zone. So are you saying they will keep all of the old assets, models etc from the old game on top of the new game specifically for replaying cutscenes?
The cutscenes in FFXIV are not pre-recorded movies, they are rendered on the fly, that is why you use your current armor in a cutscene and the image quality is the same as when you are normally playing. If your in game textures are low, the textures will be low quality in the cutscene as well.

Though the Dev Team has done a masterful job of fixing all the problems the current version had at start the fact that this is a patchwork repair to make the game playable now means that I would not miss it when comparing it to the promise of Ver 2.0. I am more convinced of this after reading the 2 interviews of Yoshida that I have seen. A lot of new hints that make want the new version even more
I was about to post that I'd wanted to see how the original version would work out if they didn't rush the release, then thought about the whole leve-centered stuff and..... decided I didn't really want to see it after all.
Hopefully 2.0 won't disappoint.
As for old cutscenes, they won't be re-doing the models for 2.0 imho, that'd be too much work and the current ones are good. And the areas shown in the cutscenes are not that large, so they could theoretically just cut those parts out and take them over to 2.0 client and it wouldn't take up much space.
So if they wanted, they could do it without much effort, but I still doubt they will exist after 2.0. Even if the main story script stays the same, the new engine will make it look way differently.

I agree and the fall of Dalamud is what set loose the primals to wander free again. Doesn't make the place not exist, it's just now a ruin, the lands memory is long ...
They can keep just the resources required for those CSs they wouldn't have to maintain the entire old world.I don't see how that could be possible though, since when a cutscene loads, it calls upon assets from that zone. I think I will miss the whole game. It depends on what 2.0 is going to be like. Maybe I am the only one, but I really enjoyed the game from its first day on and of course every patch too.
I still have some nostalgic moments from my first days doing leves and see everyone beginning. I will miss the LL opening scene![]()
Thanalan music, Coerthas battle music...
ah, I found I have few things that I miss.
let's go to the FF14 2.0 as soon as possible!

I'll miss Dalamud, and the hints of destruction.
