Help me understand Trophy item updates

The battle pass (Series) is roughly every 2 PVP seasons. You level it up to get some unique rewards. This time it's a mount, last time it was an armor set. You still earn Trophy Crystals while doing so, but the things you can spend them on don't really change. That's what a lot of people complain about. If you play enough PVP you rank up thousands and thousands of Trophy Crystals with nothing to spend them on once you have bought all the framer kits and stuff.

I am buying items for classes I don't even have at max level because I don't know what to do with my crystals =s
