I'm bored when I heal because I need more complex DPS rotations

What I see is that some people don't enjoy playing healer because they find it boring or unfun. I don't understand why anyone would force themselves to play something they find boring or unfun. This isn't dismissive or baiting, it's a simple solution to a problem. Players picking a class they find more fun is certainly more attainable than the devs redesigning an entire role, especially after reworks. On that note, I personally love how simple the healer rotation is, it's the main reason I like healing, because I don't like optimising dps.

Unfortunately it would seem given the mass healer shortage across all content that your "simple solution" is really hurting the game right now. I'm sure all of those people who "love how simple the healer rotation is" are showing up in droves for PF this tier, right? Oh, they're not? People are really sitting for hours in Party Finder waiting for healers to show up to fill their parties? Yoshida had to ask DPS and Tank players to play healers because it's gotten so bad that people have been asking him about it in liveletter Q&A's?
Seems to me like the "simple solution" is to stop being dismissive of player concerns and make these jobs varied and interesting again. And if you don't like optimizing DPS, you probably shouldn't be playing SCH, since it's the healer that wants to optimize its DPS the most at the cost of its healing. Or any content above Normal difficulty really, since optimizing your DPS is what you're supposed to do in order to ensure you clear. If you're not playing that content; then what we're asking for back won't affect you at all.
