    Error: i2501, cannot purchase Crysta at all

    Platform: PS5.
    Changed from trial to subscription within the last 24h.
    Purchased Complete Edition (includes up to Endwalker).

    I cannot add Crysta no matter what I do.
    There is a page which lets you select the crysta amount followed by the payment method.
    I wanted to get the max amount via Paypal so that I can set up the subscription and get some emotes etc. from the mogstation.

    The problem is that it doesn't matter which crysta amount I select OR which payment method I choose. ALL of them do not work and give me the same error which says to contact support.

    I have tried 4 different devices, with and without a VPN, 3 different browsers, in incognito mode and without, a fresh new brower without any configuration and others with privacy settings (extensions), on a mobile using mobile data and also via WiFi. All of them do not allow me to purchase crysta.

    Specifically, once I click a payment option it automatically takes me to the error page. I am not even presented with any option to actually enter any details so it's not like the payment itself is blocked or failed. I literally fail as soon as I click a payment option (any option, none of them work) for any crysta amount.

    I guess I'll wait till the "free" subscription period ends and never use my account yeah?

    I've read a bit about people encountering this issue and that it's some generic error. Moreover, how paypal should be used because of how garbage the system is (and evidently it is) and how accounts get suspended because of accidental chargebacks or something being blocked via a card payment so I wanted to use paypal - not like it matters since I cannot use any method. Something is clearer screwed up on their end since I've tried many configurations and all devices fail at the same point when I try to select a payment method to get crysta.

    You will need to contact support as that error relates to your payment method being blocked, which usually happens if you use a VPN or incorrect payment information.

    The more times you tried your payment method, the longer the wait time to retry it, 24 hours for the first error, then days to weeks for a second and third or more, which is why you need to use support, or use a different card-without any VPN or even an Ad Blocker can trigger the i2501 error. Paypal will not work if it's using the same card that SE declined.

    I would not try the payment method again, it will fail. Either contact support or use a pre-paid credit card with no VPN and Ad blocker on, or buy a Game-time card from the SE store or an online retailer that sells those.
