"Insufficient memory to install update files"

Just recently purchased the last few expansions, and upon opening the launcher for the first time after purchase I now get this error message:

"Insufficient memory to install update files. Please confirm that there is at least 25680 MB of storage available" after which the launcher closes.

I have more than enough storage space available. The game was working just fine before I bought the expansions, this is rather frustrating. I am playing on an iMac with 115GB free storage.

Uninstalled and attempted to reinstall from scratch. Exact same error when opening the launcher for the first time.

You running multiple drives or through windows via bootcamp?

I'd check the obvious like install location if on multiple drives, and stuff like the scratch disk size.

I do have a bootcamp partition, but haven't used it in a year. When I installed FFXIV a few months ago, I installed via regular Mac download. I haven't moved/changed anything, never had any problems, just purchased the next expansions and boom. Currently it is in my "applications" directory on Mac HD.

When you go to storage under your macs info, what does it say? Your bootcamp isnt eating space, or any secondary partitions?

I would also go into "free up storage" from the storage screen and see what you can clear.

Macs can be a little weird registering storage sometimes.

Id also recommend asking on the Apple forums, technical types can be really helpful there. While its possible thay XIV is incorrectly claiming too much space or incorrectly registering the error, its probably more likely that its something MacOS side, so I'd try to check on that too.
