    You are there to kill him, so wouldn't braying be more correct?

    1. The harsh crying of an ass.
    2. Vocal clamor; harsh utterance.

    "Praying before a god" is an act of devotion and respect. "Braying before a god" is an act of rebellion and fighting.

    Braying is definitely the right word here.

    I mean the other one just doesn't make sense considering he isn't like some anti-religion character.
