    Unable to retrieve Steam Account Information

    Hi FFXIV Technical Support Team, I need assistance/help to solve this issue.

    I was able to patch the game earlier about 30 minutes ago and quited the launcher via Steam. But after opening the launcher again after the servers have went up, this error appears. I have already restart my computer and internet twice but the error message persist. I can't do anything else from here. Please help!

    I'm having the same error message, but sporadically. So far I was able to fix this by restarting Windows.

    I've also started getting this error message for the past hour. I've tried rebooting but still getting error.

    First time I got this error... Restarting the pc doesn't help either.

    oh! Try adding/deleting a letter or something in your steam account name. Or launch straight from the steam app. It worked for me.

    Unfortunately there's nothing you can do but wait/keep trying. I've just had it again myself and took about 10 minutes of trying to be able to login.

    I'm probably just unlucky, but it feels like this happens everytime I want to play. I wish SE would give us options to get off of Steam, this isn't what we agreed to when we bought the game...

    it's definitively time to spam their press contacts and social media accounts. There is no progress with ticket I have open about the black screen with the steam version since August patch.
    They always say send dxdiag and msinfo32.

    did send this several times, but they do nothing.

    Over time it gets worse for steam players...
