As long as Reaper relies on it's burst and the buildup required it will always be undesirable in high-end content I think.

The bulk of Reaper damage is in Enshroud windows. Outside of that Gibbet/Gallows/Bloodstalk.

With the changes I assume the plan is for Reaper to be stuck in drifting dbl Enshroud windows with a 1k pot PH and 2 1.1k pot Communios.

When I glance at it, it just doesn't seem like a lot of fun for casual players or competitive players IMO.

I think overall these are just band-aids and doesn't really help them all that much.

The biggest issue I see is that Gluttony, one of your big oGCD attacks, WILL drift and throw off your rotation in the burst window. There's nothing you can do to stop the drift either, the ability will drift and throw things out of your rotation.

Yeah it does. Reaper is not in a good place. I'd rather they just made some changes so you are bursting more often. A lot of little bursts. With a big finisher at the end of your bursty mode.

I think drifting would be less of an issue if Soul Slice/Scythe was on a 15s CD and Gluttony on a 30s CD. But that's probably a bit much.

I don't think the Reaper problems will go away until 7.0 so it's probably just gonna stay the same until then.

It really just falls back on the 2 minute meta being bad for a lot of jobs in general. Feels bad.

Gluttony drift can easily be fixed with one simple change, making it a 55s cooldown. At that point drift is nonexistent, it'll always be up when your burst is ready.

Im wondering if they just made Soulsow generate gauge similar to Meditate for SAM would be a good means to alleviate downtime issues.
