    I've been hacked, please help...

    Hello

my account was compromised somehow and someone put a "unique password" to prevent me for logging.
However i was still being log on the forums so it seems i was not disconnected here. But i suppose if i leave now I will not be able to log in tomorrow... So I m trying to call for help.

I used the "change password" procedure (with my email ect) but it didn't change anything apparently, only the old password seems to work. I don't know why this procedure does not work!

the guy is still connected apparently and is jumping from server to server...

    Please help!

I'm sorry but the forum here is not the place to request help. You'll have to contact support for your issue. You'll need to be able to prove you're the owner of the account so be sure to be ready to answer their questions.

Did you go to any links advertising a free gil giveaway or anything like that? Please be sure to read up on what "phishing" is and what you can do to protect yourself in future.

If it wasn't this you may have fallen victim to the brute force password attack that was going on awhile back.

I would also suggest that when you get your account back you activate 2FA/OTP to be on the safe side.

Hope things go well for you with support.

    Greetings Behb,

We thank you for posting in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums. As what your fellow Adventurer has mentioned, the issue you are describing is something we are not able to assist with in the Technical Support Forums. As the account in question is European in region, we advise to contact the European Square Enix Support Center for further assistance regarding the compromised account. You may contact the European Square Enix Support Team through this link: https://support.eu.square-enix.com/index.php

This thread will be moved to the 'Separate Support Required’ subforum as contact with the Square Enix Support Center is necessary to resolve the issue.
