For the MSQ, I'd recommend DPS. Tanks and healers will always have fast queues but DPS tend not to. So dump all that free EXP on them and grind out tanks afterwards is my advice.

You get more than enough xp to lvl up more than one job at the same time. You can easily pick 2 jobs, even 3 from the beginning. If not, with arcanist you get both a healer and a dps with scholar and summoner once you reach lvl 30 and they level up together. If the dps queues are too long, you can swap to healer. You can pick that and a tank role. Also, if you have xp to spare you can pick up extra jobs at lvl 50, 60 and 70 without any other requirement than the level.

100% recommend playing as SCH/SMN when leveling MSQ.You get more than enough xp to lvl up more than one job at the same time. You can easily pick 2 jobs, even 3 from the beginning. Having the option to jump to a healer queue when DPS queue takes too long is a life saver.
At least in the case of moving from NA to another NA data center, your friends will still show up on your list. Not sure if this is going to be the case if you are changing regions.I've been constantly on the fence about transferring or not. For one, I'd be giving up my house. (Which isn't much of a loss for me since I don't hang out with anybody anyway and I suck at decorating.) I'd also be giving up my friends list. While I didn't use it often for actual communicating, I would be heartbroken to see it empty from switching DCs. On the other hand, I get reimbursed for my house and apt. (Plus extra for furniture loss) and get to transfer for free. A fresh new community to start over with on Worlds with no prior reputation is mighty tempting.
I plan on just visiting for a few days to get a good scope on how many people appear to have seriously transferred over. I'm worried about bots overrunning the place as well as how long queues will take. But I feel like in the long run it might be worth it...
I was excited until I saw the queue when I went to login on Seraph.

At least Dynamis is located in NA and people will be able to travel if the queues are too long.
Still, it is not ideal and that remains the reason I am chosing to stay on Excalibur/Primal and forego my chances at a bigger house: it is very active and save exception queues are rather short. I queued dps for some Eden raids to unlock them on a toon last week between 12 am and 2 am and I only waited <10 mins. Nier is easy to get too if it is not 2am.
the queues are only there because a large amount of people are trying to login at once. it'll settle down over time

i think they meant the login queues, but i could be wrong
Which of the dynamis worlds have the most players atm? Trying to decide which one to move my alt to, and i like a lively world!
My guess would be that Seraph is going to be the most popular based on queues from this morning around launch and polls/comments in the last week or two.

Well another thing to keep in mind is that up to a certain level there's Duty Support so the only queues that will be an issue are anything that can't be done with that. And there are hunting logs, beast tribes, FATES, and GC daily hunts to supplement. I've got all 90s so I know a lot of leveling tricks and I'm not too worried about that aspect. I was mainly going to focus on tank as a role I don't normally do. I'm a WHM/BRD main. You get more than enough xp to lvl up more than one job at the same time.
