You probably mean the quick synthesis option to "bulk" craft. And to that end, I don't see why SE would do that. It's not say I don't think it's possible, just I don't believe SE would want to flood HQ crafted lower level items even easier.<don't fully understand the situation since I only rapid synth stuff I out level or fan easily create with no issue..,>
But I'd like to add if we are rapid synthing any item at max level.
It should automatically be all HQ, since we have that skill that auto fills the Quality to max.
Edit: Clarification, I mean Trained Eye if all the crafts are 10 levels or lower. This should count for all items crafted.
I assume op means when Rapid Synth at, or near same craft level
Spot on. I can't tell you how many water otter fountain parts I've made... and there are times when Hasty/Rapid hit what seemed like 75-90% of the time. And others where they hit 10-25% of the time. Naturally, the 75-90% were successful synths and the 10-25% were not.Rapid Synth is definitely 50% and not bugged. That is how rng works. It's random. It could be 50/50, it could be 10/90, it could be 90/10. If it was always consistent and even, it would be a set pattern.
That said, I loathe Rapid Synth in Experts. I have a good success rate on Experts and I don't care if it's rng, that doesn't mean it's fun rng or good design. It's easily my least favorite part of Expert crafting. I hope they scrap it and replace it with something more consistent some day.
We tend to remember the bad, but not the good. We'll remember that synth were we failed on nearly every Hasty/Rapid, but not the one where we hit max quality without Great Strides because the RNG really worked in our favor. We'll remember that 75 meld failure @ 5% but not the 1/1 @ 5%. Human nature.
