Why does it need a revamp then? You just said it's fun to play...
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

If it ain't broke...
Also, if you're going to propose a revamp, maybe provide a direction for said revamp.

The Gold Saucer in general could use some love. Some new race tracks, more mini-events other than just GATEs, maybe have two GATEs up at a time (one in the Saucer, one instanced, to hopefully not put as much strain on the server from two events going together), maybe actually do something with Verminion.
And of course more prizes. Give me some more stupidly expensive stuff to buy.
The Chocobo Racing has too many racing classes and no proper synch, making it basically impossible to play this content with your friends or FC. I have an R300 Chocobo with max stats and I would just destroy all my friends on the race track.
Another problem are the MGP rewards. It is much easier to win against NPCs than it is to win against other players, but the rewards are the same. This leads to the behavior that you try to avoid other players.
New Tracks would be nice as well. And some kind of championship where you have to compete on all tracks and get points. This would start every 2 hours or so like the TT Tournament or Ocean Fishing.
It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.
The only thing chocobo racing needs is some sort of combining of all the ranks. Aside from the Gold saucer MGP events, you will never get a full group of 8 participants at any rank (even max). Would be nice if they would sync it somehow so the super small chocobo racing playerbase wasn't split up even more. Even at max rank you get lobbies by yourself or maybe 1 other person most of the time
It needs that or to be updated. Still better content than Verminion. Its kind of sad to see Triple Triad get frequent updates, but Chocobo Racing has remained the same since ARR.
I've been hoping for an Ishgard track for years.
Some sort of stat sync or rental chocobos would be nice to race against friends. It's not fun when someone in the group has a way better chocobo than everyone else.
From what I've seen the content is fine. It' just that only a small niche group are interested in doing it. In my opinion, no matter what they do to change the content, it won't spark the interest of a lot more people to get into it. If you haven't tried already, then I suggest creating a linkshell for people that enjoy the content and take it from there.
Indeed. No revamp needed, it's fun.
What it "could" use is more content put into it, I've been capped out after 10 breedings since forever ago. Only reason why we don't go back, prob alot of other early racers too. Got enough to get Fenrir and I was out. (Although, LoV was way easier to get that #)
Gold saucer overall though ya, "that" could prob use a revamp, idk what though, its not very fun, except for maybe Lord of Verm, I did like that one alot.... but I'm probably the rare one XD
