I agree, at least it would prevent some tank to go cowabunga and pull the entire dungeon when you start as a healer.Ok all in all...troll or no...I think the idea that there is an icon saying "Hey I just picked up this class so it's not going to be used optimally" is a pretty good idea...regardless if what happened is true or not.
A good idea is a good idea regardless who suggested it.
The one where I said "mentors should lose their status if they don't talk"
Because, y'know, somebody entering a dungeon and not talking is really incredibly rare...
That was a joke post, but people do enter dungeons and don't talk but alas, making that claim means I am lying. Alright.

You have tanked your retutation with bangers like the mentor thread, the bard thread and the force all new players to start on lala. The one where I said "mentors should lose their status if they don't talk"

I don't get how you can't see they are clear jokes.
"Bard is OP cos they have Pelton and Performance"
"Lalas get too much abuse. People are clearly jealous"
You are on Odin. That's either a lie or I want what you're having, because Light DC's parties aren't vocal whatsoever. The absolute bare minimum is indeed a "hi", but even that's completely foregone and not just by Mentors. Literally everyone does.
Hell. My experience is that sprouts refuse to talk more than Mentors overall do. I assume that it's because Sprouts mute their chats more often than Mentors do.
Ah ok nvm, never take you seriously ever, understood chief!

I have actually had quite a few good chats early on in the morning in DF, particularly if I do the Main Quest roulette. People always have a good natter in the text while waiting for the cutscenes to finish, if you actually start the discussion.
You will get the odd one where people don't speak. However, 90% of dungeons, everybody says hello. Today (a few hours before this post) was the only dungeon where I haven't had somebody other than myself speak. Although, I believe they may not have spoken English based upon their names, so that is cool.
Normally, if you open up discussions, people chat. Last night, I had a good discussion in Satasha where somebody gave me some advice on healing with AST, as I said I was still getting used to it as it 'felt' different from WHM, but not drastically different. So while we were running, he was talking about using cards, etc. (and I am aware those spells are not available in Satasha)
A couple of nights ago in MSQ, me and 2 other people spoke about our favourite coffees while waiting for Lahabrea to finish his spiel.
If your parties are quiet, it is because you aren't nothing to speak.
It is a social game. Speak, and people WILL speak back like most of the time. You may even make some new friends and get some parties out of it. I have formed a couple of parties from people found in DF and we just run some roulettes early in the morning, saving the DPS having to queue again.

The occurrences I have pointed out:
1. Kicked from a group because I was lalafell
2. Somebody said "nice healing"
3. A tank that didn't know how to use a tank stance.
Points 2 and 3 are not all that rare. I am sure everybody here has experienced BOTH of those situations. I mean, they almost certainly have, since I believe some tanks literally forget about tank stance (at least at early levels) because it drops off automatically when you sync to a lower dungeon than your level, so you have to manually turn it back on.
The first point is quite rare, I agree. However, other people on this forum have mentioned it happening to them. Perhaps you haven't experienced it since you don't play a Lalafell? (I assume), or maybe because my playing hours tend to be midnight to 6am, that is when the more rambunctious people are playing the game? Who knows.
I also believe that I also posted that some nightclubs don't let lalas in as the owners believe them to be paedophiles? Again, a not uncommon experience. I am sure many RP lalas here have had difficulty in nightclubs (people roleplay not serving drinks to lalas, etc.) and it isn't uncommon to see (at least on Reddit) people saying anybody that plays lala is a paedophile because, in their mind, if they created a character that they are attracted to, everybody else must be in the same boat.
Can't even keep their story straight...
