    I think they should drop the whole sheltron requires 50 oath and make sheltron just cost MP similar to TBN. Giving PLD 100 gauge at the start of battle is just an omission of "we f*cked up designing PLD"

    Just go full dps at this point with oath gauge. 50 oath now lets you use either magic combos i.e. confiteor combo, or single target big hits i.e. sanguine blade, judgement bolt, northswain's strike that give certain effects.

    Also drop atonement since it's just a redundant button that emulates a third rotation that no longer fits in the current game design. With the tank stance changes in ShB, tanks only need a maximum of two combos, one for dmg and one for utility or just do what DRK does and combine the two.

    I like Gauge being tied to defensives, I actually think they should expand Oath gauge and reward pld for good timing with gauge back, remove auto attacks filling it and making it a set timer (like how some healers fill up their gauge over time), this way a good PLD using their defensives well will be pretty strong defensively, I don't really feel like PLD needs a "dps gauge" I believe we should at least keep its identity in that aspect and actually expand how oath works, also don't feel like Mp really works with Holyshelltron/intervention, like TBN does with dark knight.

    Atonement Should stay, it allows PLDs to better adjust with their rotation as you can generally drop one if lets say you had to cast a holy spirit at ranged, it also just feels a lot better for me personally, I dislike how level 70 PLD feels compared to 80/90.

    I don't think we need to make PLD more similar to other tanks, most PLD players would be playing another tank if they didn't enjoy PLD so much despite its flaws... sure "low pld pick rate" is a meme at this point but theirs actually a lot of PLD mains despite it being the worst defensive and second worst offensive tank that's more complicated then the others, because PLD feels actually very fun for most people who like the job, I don't think WAR/DRK really appeals to most PLD players either, making it's rotation will likely cause more PLD players to just leave the Job and will only really bring in more players depending on if it's meta at the time. I think it's always good to appeal to more niche jobs playerbases instead of just copying another job.
