Job Mounts!

I had the idea last night when on my RPR. We have I think like, one or two job mounts? WHM gets Unicorn but I don’t remember if any other job gets one. It’d be so great if each job got a mount. Here’s my ideas for some, feel free to add your own!

RPR: Our voidsent. We ride on its back like a magic carpet. I need to see my voidsent more. PLEASE Yoshi-P.

BLM: Maybe a small meteor we ride like a surfboard? I was gonna say broom but that may be too cliché.

AST: Transforms us into a comet.

DRK: A dark ethereal horse with spiky black armor.

All tanks have differents mounts too i think. I see PF about farming them sometimes.

All tanks get 2 each actually. Which is really, really weird. And yes because they're achievements and require tanks to queue for "high end" duties I believe, tanks will often do farm parties which is usually level 70 unsync'd content to farm their counts for it.

DRK already has two - coeurls.
WAR gets the bears.
GNB gets tigers.
PLD gets lions.

The tanks have an armored and non-armored versions.

WHM gets the unicorn.

Early in ARR's development it looked like SE indeed were planning on having each Job get their own special mount, but apart from CNJ/WHM getting a unicorn via an easy quest after getting CNJ to 30 and completing all the CNJ class quests, that never eventuated (the tank achievement mounts came much later). Alas I think that airship has long since sailed.

Instead, just set up certain existing mounts based on their theme to each Job (it's something I've done myself).

Sage with a Neulith Barrier mount: Uses the neuliths to create a barrier under foot to surf around the sky.

Machinist with a Queen mount: Queen Automata carries you around either on its back, shoulders or in its arms princess style while it runs around the ground or flies around in the sky with rocket thrusters either on its back or under its feet.

Summoner's Proto Carbuncle Mount: Summon an oversized Proto Carbuncle that carries you around in its teeth or wrapped in its long grotesque tongue as it runs and flies about the place. Has an emote that can eat you, roars and then spits you out.

Suppose that would be more "appropriate" than the way I'd do it and just have them ram your character in the butt and fly off with you experiencing 10,000 years of death... >.>; lol
