Dragoon LB vs Everybody elses

Only thing I can think of to maybe change it is you get a choice.

You either let it run it's course for lots of damage, or you get the ability to press the lb button again to stop it and land for less damage, the faster you pressed it, the less damage it does.

Other then that, as it is, it's the best zoning tool in the game, even in FL.
Forcing 10 people to guard early, only to get dropped by a black mage ult right after is the kind of plays that win you the game.

It's not always about you getting the kills, it's also about setting them up, and dragoon ult is amazing at it, you get far more value out of one good zoning aoe ult then a machinist killing 1 player out of 23.

I mean you're right but the fact that literally every other class is more likely to kill with a LB is just like "wtf is this" i mained dragoon back when piercing talon was a thing and holy crap is was amazing, we were able to hit and run more reliantly but now we just get this ranged attack that goes on is a OGCD, dragoon just feels bad to play in pvp compared to classes like GNB and NIN.

NIN lb would like to have a word. Gets eaten by server ticks 80% of the time by guard or the enemy hp goes above the threshhold and the enemy has enough time to uninstall and reinstall the game with how long the animation takes. Guess that's the trade off for being able to snag some executes.

It absolutely does not if it goes through guard that just means the server tick didn't register guard. MNK lb goes through guard.

Ninja LB does go through guard when target HP is below 50%.
Otherwise it doesn't when target is 50% higher
