*shrugs* I enjoy seeing the meltdown over something so small and insignificant yet if you even breathe “do your rotation” that’s offensive. This community gets up in arms about the silliest things.

Wait. I can't gift people things anymore?
That sucks. it was my go-to for birthdays to give someone a cheapo cash shop emote.
wtf.
That really sucks.
Why not just make it so that you're required to enter their e-mail and have a link that goes to a login page that also requires the 2fa to proceed which then after verification mails it to you in-game so that it makes RMT all that more difficult.
how annoying.
I also heard another reason for this decision is to fight off scalpers of rare emotes that are selling for exuberant prices online. Like the Omega emote.
My question then is why not just make those emotes available in the mogstation? Or be an in-game reward? This whole situation was exactly what I feared (and the devs themselves feared) when people kept asking for anti-cheat implementation to combat against third party tools, an extreme solution to a problem that cant be forever solved.
I'm glad we have you with these pointless monologues to tell us what is and is not significant.
First I've heard of gifting items you paid for with cash. (never done it), but I suspect if this is actually popular, they may reverse this when mod station sales drop.
Why not just track trades of mogstation items and disappear them if it's determined they were purchased with stolen credit cards?
On another note, they completely dropped the ball with this one. Applying this restriction on housing is one thing, but applying this on gifting is something else entirely.
I understand why, but by any stretch of the imagination, this is not the solution.
Checking around online feedback and while I still dont personally cant form credible opinions regarding the matter in defense for the recent changes, the poster still gave some plausible theories behind SE's decisions.

I really don't get why some like to tout an entire crowd of people think the exact same way. "The community"? This same "community" has people with an opinion that's the exact opposite of what you strawmanned just now.
You're no cooler for making that comment, but enjoy the upvotes I guess.
