This might be the first major move SE has made since I started playing the game that has really bothered me.

Memory. I am reminded.
Since I haven't purchased anything on the mogstation for a friend since all my friends quit the game, this isn't a real issue. Seems pretty petty and tiny in my opinion, it's all worth it if it even has the smallest chance of halting some RMTs.Huh? What role was gutted? I assume healing, because I keep seeing a lot of posts from folks who seem to want to just be DPS with an instant queue.
Yes. I am going to call that one petty and tiny. If you were stuck with one hair style then I would get it. You aren't.
I have no idea what you are talking about with the first bit. I am casual, after all. I also am still probably new enough to not care, at all, about reused gear and if something is undyable I either wear it as is, or find something else. Quite petty and also tiny I would say.
I would be lying if I said I had heard zero complaints of jobs being "dumbed down" in game. But Ive also heard plenty of people saying "oh yeah I like the new AST for Endwalker" or more recently, SAM lost an ability or something? IDK, but again enough people Ive talked to in game who either didnt know about this or did not care, that im gonna go ahead and slide this one over to tiny and petty too.
Of course, this is a joke. I wouldn't think that because someone does, enjoys or participates in something that I do not, that they deserve to have that option taken away from them, especially out of callousness.
When they inevitably backtrack on this, yet ANOTHER short-sighted, reckless action that impacts people with unnecessary collateral damage to an established playerbase, I hope it remains your ONLY bother, and a isolated memory of a misstep, rather than an addition to the ever-growing pile of "things I really wish didn't happen" like some of us.
I'm loving that this is the thing that's generated collective indefensible rage. If you take issue with like.. job balance, or housing, or homogenization, or hroth/viera hats/hairs, or overpriced cash shop items that would've fit perfectly into the base game that we already buy to play and sub to, or the longer time between content releases from 3 months to 4, there's ALWAYS someone who can pull from their asshole a reason that "this is ackshually fine because blablabla." Even if you and I disagree with them and feel like they're arguing on bad faith, these types of people will still consistently exist and defend square to death over something that might seem utterly indefensible.Memory. But now, oh boy. They're stopping you from gifting your friend a minion, and we're seeing multiple threads, with no defenders of it at all. This is it, after everything, this is the thing to truly unite the player base. We're united in our frustration. The barriers are down and we're all standing on the same front. Nobody thinks this is okay. Everybody thinks this sucks. And our first ever united rallying cry is: "please square, let us give you more of our money!!!"
I seriously don't even know what to call this type of humor, but it makes me laugh. Like, of all the things to "wake people up" to the fact that SE can screw up, it had to be our anger about not being able to pay them even MORE for shit that arguably should've been in the base game for free. And because timing is everything, clown costumes are for sale today.

Hey, you got me there. The finally did something that really bothered me. I just think its ridiculous when a company makes it harder for me to give them money, when their website already makes it hard enough.Memory. I am reminded.

First I've heard of gifting items you paid for with cash. (never done it), but I suspect if this is actually popular, they may reverse this when mod station sales drop.
Why not just track trades of mogstation items and disappear them if it's determined they were purchased with stolen credit cards?
