I am once again asking for cross-DC travel

Because friends. Lots of friends. I have friends on EU too. I don't want to create an alt, max it up, gear it up, etc. I just don't have real life time for that type of thing, or money to spend on those skips. I like to focus on my main character.

Same but I doubt we'll see this anytime soon since for some reason an assumption is in place that the different regions will just ruin each other, specifically NA to everywhere else but I'm sure it's not just an isolated assumption. Just, I see the most people being vocal over not wanting NA there.

They could limit a lot of stuff. Just shut down marketboard trading, simply do EU-NA and JP-OCE travel, I think that'd be good enough honestly.

I don't understand why people want to bring in the DC Universe into FFXIV. Do we seriously need to have Batman or Wonder Woman in this game that badly?

They did say they would see what feedback there is about it, so we just need enough forum posts about it.

But all the concerns they have about cross-region travel are no different than the concerns people had about World Visit.

The point is difference in playstyles. MB is already locked down for selling across different DCs but playstyles are different depending on where you are. For example, NA can't just come into JP and do NA things, we have to play by JPs rules. Otherwise it can cause a lot of friction if we try to "NA up the place".

The same logic can be applied to EU & OCE because both also use different strats than NA does. Speaking as someone who's seen it first hand, some will publically shame you in dungeon content for doing something that isn't the norm for the DC you're in.

And of course, there's just the difference in mentalities depending on where you live in the world and that can cause some friction as well when trying to solve issues or talk about things in general.

I'm all for it, I just think it will require all sides to be open minded towards others.

Rather, don't allow any DC travel TO JP. That will solve a major part of the issue as JP players are of totally different cultures and would like not to get invaded by weebs, especially NA weebs. If JP players want to go on a world tour then that's fine. It's also fine if any other region wants to do it since they got more similarities in their cultures.

One thing though
if you go to NA you are freely allowed to impose your gameplay style on NA DCs
because nobody respects what NA does and they are always the butt of every joke

If I recall, it's basically the JP community that doesn't want it. They're afraid of a cultural war and a language dominance with the West. They don't want us in their DC with our unique and different from theirs beliefs and opinions. To them, we're just flies coming into their home from the drain pipes as they swat at us to go away. Opening DC travel would be removing the drain stopper and an army of flies move into your home as if entitled. They simy don't want to battle westerns. Maybe they'll think we'd win? Loud, obnoxious, don't know when to look the other way. Take mods for example. JP HATES them to the point of witch hunting. The west loves them to the point of making careers from it. Opening the doors would invade their DC with even more mods than they already deal with. This is just an exame of many. Conflicts of political abd religious rights causing drama too. And its not like our GMs are the best either at fixing harassment. They also don't want the west populating their PF with nightclubs snd RP. Then in duty finder, NA is bad at following party findrr diagrams. Something JP does a lot. Don't even get me started on their fears of NA weebs. Did you know they blame NA for the stale condition of the game right now?

Maybe just move then or create an alt. I honestly think cross region travel would be a huge HUGE like HUUUUUUGE mistake. Cause of one reason, culture. JP has a different culture than NA. EU has a different culture than NA. The people who want weird /yell and /scream messages everywhere and people who only care about themselves or trolling others can move or play on NA.

So for the love of Hydaelyn please leave EU and JP alone, we really don't want what would come from NA.
