    Monk's masterful blitz fix

The problem: The last attack from perfect balance transitions the player into whatever form the last attack leads into. The monk has to keep track of whether they have leaden fists throughout all of this, which requires constant readjustment of their rotation.

Proposed quick solution: The player is put into Opo-Opo stance with leaden fists upon perfect balance expiring.

Proposed long term solution: Separate the perfect balance mechanic from the weapon skills entirely so that it is rotation neutral.

Edit: Reason for post = most people are avoiding monk.

Apparently most DPS do not want to play a job where their rotation is constantly thrown out of whack due to the primary mechanic of the job.

Or we could just make Leaden Fist and Disciplined Fist both UI elements so we don't have to make this strange change?

If you don't want to take a fraction of a second to glance at your buffs after PB, just play the braindead rotation and always exit with Twin Snakes. Problem solved.

Your "quick" solution would actually make Monk harder, because you'll now only want to enter PB on Bootshine in order to avoid overwriting Leaden Fist.

Your "long term" solution would completely gut the job of its core gameplay mechanic, although I guess that's tradition at this point.

Monk has always been one of the jobs with the fewest players. They dumbed the job down to one of if not the simplest DPS job in the game, and people still don't play it. Dumbing the job down further isn't going to fix this.

Monk is already idiot Proof. You want to make ir even more? Then best solution for that problema is to put personal buffs above the action bar

When I started learning mnk, I had to actually change my HUD setup to put my buffs in a place where I could easily see them. And then I had to enlarge it too. Once I got it down, it was fine, but the learning process was kinda shaky. OP, I don't agree with your change. I think if they changed anything at all, they could just make the job UI a bit more like BLM's enochian timer setup, with a more visible timer on the personal buff just baked into the job gauge so you're not looking at the tiny personal-buff icon all the time. But that's pretty minor.

I'm confused by this post and what your problem seems to be. Perfect Balance and the GCD after are all formless fist where you can hit whatever GCD you want. What does "The last attack from perfect balance transitions the player into whatever form the last attack leads into" mean?

Keeping track of leaden fist is not hard also. Did you do bootshine last? Do dragon kick this time, and vice versa. But people please put your buff timers in a visible place! It's honestly your own fault if you are having trouble keeping track of disciplined, leaden, and demolish. It's especially important on Monk, but this HUD adjustment will make you play better on all jobs. One thing they should do in the future though is give bootshine a new animation when it is leaden buffed. This would give you visual feedback that you did your rotation correctly.

As for player count, I would not look into those sorts of metrics as great measures of a job's actual quality and popularity over all forms of content. IF you go off that then BLM would be one of the worst designed DPS jobs when many would actually agree that it is one of the best designed. It is just has a higher learning curve. This is also the case for Monk, despite greased lightning boomers saying it is "braindead" now. In actuality is one of the harder jobs to master in the game right now (not the hardest, but it's up there). As this post shows, people aren't willing to do something as simple as keep track of buffs and think Monk is too hard to play. If you get past the initial learning curve I would say the job feels smooth to play.
