Novice Network and out of control Ego's

For a long time now, Novice Network has been infested with people who whether want to cause trouble, *legitimate and not light bantering*, or inflated ego's of people who want to play with a power move *i.e. kicking someone or threatening to do so* while they themselves do the same things, if not worse than what they're kicking for. I would give a couple examples of my own, but that would only give detractors something to latch onto to disrupt the actual conversation.

This has been going on since I'm sure the beginning of the mentor chat and it absolutely needs to change. There is no actual moderation, and if the kick function can be used by any "one" mentor, it can cause large problems, i.e. giant kick fests where people get kicked for kicking. A rare issue I believe, but an issue nonetheless. Could there be by chance some type of moderation team in these novice chats so people who want to connect with others, and help with things, can do so without the fear of one or more power tripping "mentor(s)"? I do enjoy a bit of light bantering myself, but actual issues are ignored, and those who try to "soothe the situation" amongst other things, are shut down by a power tripper who would do or 'will' do the same thing if given their own opportunity.

This game has an amazing playerbase, and with proper moderation, Novice Network can be a place for people to not only help others, but assist in creating long lasting relationships that could even reach outwards from Eorzea itself. This chat was meant for something, but instead....

*in words not of my own*

"The novice network in practice is a weird place because the mentor system doesn't actually reward you for actively mentoring/helping players. It's purely achievement based (get multiple classes to level 90, get a certain number of commendations etc.) so an absolutely toxic player can earn the mentor crown purely by playing a tank/healer and running roulettes thousands of times to farm commendations because tank/healers tend to get comms if they play decently, and leveling all the relevant jobs depending on the type of mentor crown they wanna get." - Competitive_Chair_11

I don't have my combat mentor currently, haven't since they upped the player com requirement, but if my comms from my other characters were added to my main, I would. I do still have my trade mentor. I live on Siren. I REFUSE to join the Novice Network due to the shit fest it is. Last time I joined it, there were mentors giving wrong information and kicking anyone that tried to correct them.
