I was smart enough just to go watch reactions videos so they aren’t getting from me especially after saying “ffxiv sucks, new world good” The op is either just a big fan for some reason or getting paid. (probably not) Or! Tinfoil hat mode. This is them trying to get reactions and views.

In all seriousness there isn’t anything wrong with either, we all waste our time on YouTube. But let’s not pretend watching any of these things is superior or better to the other in anyway. There is no moral high ground to be had with entertainment. Just time and how you spend it.

I'm not quite sure I understand why you would deliberately avoid the video made by Brian, only to watch it through another content creator's channel. Except to spite the guy.

I didn't even watch the video at all. A grown ass man depicting himself crying in the video thumbnail was more than enough to have me look the other direction. I already strongly dislike it when content creators make their videos more about them than the subject they are supposed to be covering, and nothing screams this more than when they slap their mug into every single one of their thumbnails. You'll notice a massive difference in the content from creators like Miztech and Synotic Scribe, opposed to creators like Work2Game and Zepla. There are exceptions of course, but even with CC's such as Quazii and Mr. Happy, the content is still very highly opinionated.

I mean no disrespect towards Brian as a person. My criticism falls solely on his content creation, which was always difficult for me to get through considering I learned more about Brian and his family than I did anything related to FFXIV.

I legitimately don't get why it is such a big deal he is leaving. A bit sad perhaps that one of the folks from 1.0 is going but totally understandable. People's lives change and after 10 years any game can get stale.

at the risk of giving this thread even more attention than it deserves...

he absolutely refuses to post what this joke is that he could be cancelled over and laughs like a goblin that people can't find the video that purportedly exists of it.

he has a few things across social media where he talks about how he likes dark comedy and something about an Alex Jones impression, but if your comedy style is based on dark comedy that's a fine line you have to walk and if you get your jollies by that getting off on that kind of humour.... well.

Well the thing is I really don't like Brain that much on that channel. Chris is ok. Brian is just a clickbait and also at one time his controller guide had a macro to use all of your CD as tanks in one sitting XD

Somehow it feels the dude is just trolling his arch nemesis "The XIV Defence Force". I mean otherwise i can't explain why he cries about his 5 kids and not having enough time but in the same video talks about how crazy good New World is. New World is all grind, literally all grind. Not to mention that NW is dead population wise. And while i think it is great that he enjoys at least some game it makes his "I want more time for XYZ" reason really weird since New World doesn't respect peoples time at all not even a bit.

But hey his clickbait worked, same as it did when he talked for an entire week just about his sworn enemy the few andys he had beef with and blew that up to a "The community is toxic" thing. Sometimes i feel that people addicted to Social Media lose the ability to comprehend big numbers. Like how a few toxic trashbags they had contact with don't just add up to millions and millions of people who just enjoy the game peacefully together.

But numbers hard...i know i know. We need another Construct 7 bossfight in the game.
