Interesting he should pop up with his almighty opinion since his interest in FFXIV as a whole seems minimal of late.

His interest is still relatively high. But he also mentioned, that the stream chat becomes very exhausting for him when he plays FFIV. So he does not play it.
Cheers

Wasn't that the guy who talked 24/7 about some XIV defense force bs cause he had some beef with some random people? Just another content creator who gave way too much kupos when it comes to social media and parasocial relationships. But hey at least he won't pigeonhole the entire community anymore.
Nonetheless i wish him all the best and hope he finds a place where he can be happy and less toxic, for his own sake.
JP tends to enjoy team games. And are all about coordination.
NA is more individualistic and wants their clear and then wants to get out. Usually with as little interaction as possible.
As for the percentage of players raiding it would be more apt to give a percentage of the current 1.3 million playerbase.
But it's probably fair to say that 50% raids and 50% don't. After all why make raids the endgame focus if a low amount is doing them.

Dunno "endgame" is a really subjective thing tbh. for many player even crafting is their true endgame. There are more casual players out there who don't care about raiding than you think but JP players have a overwhelming higher number of clears than NA or EU.JP tends to enjoy team games. And are all about coordination.

And that is the other 50%.
For JP the reward is doing the fights with people. For everyone else though if you don't have gear or a mount attached as a reward many will call it a one and done. And sometimes that isn't enough to play the bullet hell time attack versions of fights.
I'll only do raids these days for the story and theatrics on "normal " or if they lock a BLU spell behind it. As that is more meaningful then a piece of gear or a mount I'll never use.
Course there is is also the long game of choosing to wait till next expansion to play last expansions content where gearing multiple jobs becomes incredibly easy when they make the old level cap gear a very easy Poetic grind and you can just overgear yourself for that content, watch a guide and not interact with anyone ever and clear mechanics like it's a piece of cake.
Instead of spending months gearing a job you can gear multiple in just a few days.

The devs themselves call raiding end game, in fact whenever they are doing the patches to release the new savage raids, they make a big deal out of compared to literally anything else.
Its the playerbase in this game that seem to be indenial when you include all global zones, just how much bigger % raiding actually is because they no longer can use the argument, 'so few people raid!!!!'.
No what people should be saying, the West clear rate is atrocious.
