Ew relic quest

I cannot in any way understand what they were thinking merging a relic quest with Manderville.

I don't like Manderville and I don't care about its quest and even if yeah I can pass all the cs its still something that I didn't care for. its not a character that I like and I don't want to do his whole story for a relic that DIDN'T need that. Look at Eureka and Bozja it was fighting and it was hard to grind and for Bozja it was just even hard to get to it. You needed to really fight for it to cooperate with players and that's for me the best side content I did in the game

On the other side, imagine players that just wanted to get a good Manderville quest for EW and now they have to grind a relic for that for no good reason.for real it objectively was not a good idea, what do you guys thing

Since that ship has already broken away into a different course.
I get people have their varying opinions and wants. their likes and dislikes of having to go through hildibrand be it slowly, or iritatedly CS skip.

also it's the first step of the Relics. just like some don't like that it's an easy first step,
it's the first step in a long journey.
and unlike Bozjan, Eurekan, and Anima.<which are new, researched, and contemporary weapons> these are actual recreations of old weapons just like the ARR ones are. So actual Relics this time.

But like said, can't say much of your view on it, as you're justified in its opinion.
But these are more Relics than most ,based on the story. Which you might have missed

That is some good news in a way if the story split apart, my wife wants to do the quest but not have to grind a relic to progress in it. As for me I guess I will wait and I will see how it evolve because the idea of doing all of the quest irritate me still. I thank you for your precision.

I do question the apparent need to tie the two together, seeing as it was done at the last possible moment with a plot device that would have worked well enough on its own. It really wasn't necessary. That being said, I don't mind it. More Hildibrand and Godbert is never a bad thing for me. I've been following and completing the Hildi quests from the very beginning, so that probably helps.

the quest grind is really long and tedious ngl.

especially cuz i like view cutsceenes and all that so i cant "just skip".

Relics don't become maximum item level until the tail-end of the expansion when they aren't needed. So if you really don't want to do it, you don't have to. If you want it for glamour, well this is a story game, everything you do in this game has a story and if you don't like it you can skip the cutscenes and do it again with New Game+ if you change your mind.

i highly suggest you do the quests in small batches, skip or don’t, as if you happen to like the weapons at a later date you will need to grind out the entire long chain and then you’ll need to do the dumb relic grind. right now the first step is easy, so no big deal, but later it won’t be. doing the quests in small batches will make it less frustrating for you.

Based on one of the cutscenes early on, not really. The end results were massively different from the ancient versions shown at the end of the solo dungeon, which were displayed in the background of the final boss arena in containment units. They went an entirely different direction. Some of them looked nice, don't get me wrong, but they weren't faithful recreations at all, which was what I was hoping for.
