No harm in it Wow did the same with GW2 fractals XD its where Wows mythic+ dungeons come from. no harm in it TBH as long you innovate and adapt.

I also dont think the two modes followed suit well.
Personally I think both should've had scaled enemies and under 4 player options, with crit being insanely tough for solo or coop
Aye I think the extra bit of lore was great for Nanamo. I hope we'll see more of these with the other city states and characters.
I just ran the routes during the first day and didn't touch it again. Criterion is bit better but still it feels quite a wasteful content with low rewards.
It would have done better if baseline Criterion was scaled to Extreme level and have the Savage be its own thing and let people have some intermediate gear without cap to bridge their alt jobs a bit.
Agree with the 2nd point.I just ran the routes during the first day and didn't touch it again. Criterion is bit better but still it feels quite a wasteful content with low rewards.

FFXIV is desperately in need of mid-core content and this would have been a good addition to it.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Variants are neat and so far its my favorite content Endwalker has added.
The skills could be more interesting, the rewards could be better, but as a new system I like it.
