On the Final Fantasy XI Discount...

So.. yeah, as per topic, I'm seriously considering giving FF XI another shot alongside XIV.

'Anyone happen to know if the discount to the subscription for those of us with an active FF XIV account's still about? Or, indeed, if it ever got put in in the first place?

And.. if so, how does one get at it? Thanks!

It's a discount for XIV for XI players. Since XIV is still free and has never charged, it never really happened, and I expect it will be forgotten about by the time XIV starts charging for service.

Well, we'll see on it being forgotten.. but hey, might still try XI again anyway. It'd be nice to play an FF MMO without worrying whether or not all the good parts will be ripped out at any moment, for a bit >.>

As far as I am aware it was only for players with a FFXI account to recieve a discount on the monthly fee for FFXIV ?
(Plus I'm not sure it is still available)

The only thing you can still get with that for the while are the Hermes Shoes for the FFXIV side, but you'd have to start another character to get them.

But once you see FFXIV, it's hard going back...

But I like Lalafell more than Tarutaru and the character creation sucks in XI >_> At least it did 3 years ago when I tried it on the 360 (I regret that).

Plus it's all kinda a blur of pixels.

I don't know, maybe if I got into it I could look past the pixels, but it's starting that's a problem xD
