    Rinscita gear is no longer seen as acceptable in the current level. Because people expect you to have Tomestone gear at the very least. The current market going rate for PF recruitment is at least iLvl 615 for P5S and above. Pentamelding is also prohibitively expensive.

    Either you play crafted 610 gears on your alts or go farm gears with your mains it's not the end of the world is it?, plus week 1 groups cleared and proved this Tier is clearable with minimum ilvl requirements *610*, it's never a gear check, it's a skill check, git gud or wait, don't go oversimplifying something that isn't broken.

    Devil's advocate. Maybe it is cheaper than it ever has been. But the economy is so screwed and so saturated right now that making money is widely considered harder than it ever has been.. especially with so many crofters and market board bots and stuff going on so relatively speaking it's probably more expensive than it ever has been.

    That or it requires a massive amount of hours of grind.

    Not really if there is an extreme shortage of Tanks and Healers, then they should get geared fast! Vertical Progression is killing the game and should switch to horizontal! I use to remember when the game had resistances you needed to cap!

    It's SE's fault for killing the market for most people! They made crafting brain dead now! I had got my crafters to 50 when you could't macro crafting and actually had to put time in to get it done! Crafting now sucks and only makes you minimal money except during the first few weeks of a patch drop. I can still make up to 2-3 million/day if I really put the effort in, but its time consuming!

    That's just not true. They are handed out like candy. SE has added many ways to get materia like adventure in need for leveling roulette, beast tribes, hunts, dungeon mob drops, special dungeons(potd, HoH, crit dungeon, eureka, boz).

    This has been an issue since Heavensward. People are making a bigger deal due to the job shortage in PF (Range in Asphodelos; Healers in Abyssos) and because there are nineteen jobs now. In general, people are just fed up of a system which progresses at a glacier's pace and makes the whole alt swapping concept this game loves to advertise less engaging.

    With all that said, the OP's idea goes too far in the opposite direction. Essentially removing accessories entirely makes the first fight worthless. There simply wouldn't be enough of a gear spread to cover four fights. Not to mention, this would actually cause a direct nerf to tanks and healers as your Earring example always gives them their "role specific" state: i.e., Tenacity and Piety. Two substats neither role wants. Furthermore, SE is unlikely to make this big of a change to the gearing structure. We have to think smaller scale to get them to even consider a change. A good start is adding gear to Criterion (EX or Savage versions) and unlocking the Savage tier earlier. Getting the tome cap to increase is probably the biggest hurtle.

    Even putting aside how all the crafting changes from late Stormblood into Shadowbringers has ruined crafting on the whole. Pentamelding isn't "prohibitively expensive" unless you do almost nothing. This game barfs materia at you left and right. Dedicate some time to hunt trains and you'll cover everything you need for a whole set without spending a cent. If you're still struggling with gil, slap some VII and VIIIs in there. They're usually 500-600 gil a pop. You'll be perfectly fine blowing those up.

It's no different when you swap from Tank to DPS to Healer - they're all different roles and take time to learn the fight timings for - however, they time gate Savage and Tomestone gear because guess what? It retains their base in a patch for subscriptions. Gotta pay the bills somehow as a company, and also have a good budget for the next expac. If you could farm out all your gear in a week, Savage Raiders would be gone rather quickly.

    Not sure how you increase versatility without investment into a job. You can gear it all you want, but if player skill is the issue(which is a good handful of people in Savage atm) then it means that you need to learn your job more and practice rotations. Learn how to plan out your fight and add muscle memory. In regards to Rinascita Gear, the prices have gone down since Raid Season is pretty much gone due to the fact that we've been at this for a while now. We're going towards the lull in content. Also, 610 is acceptable as long as you know how to do your job and perform well. Gearing only matters when you aren't geared for the fight's iLv req.

    Yeah, that precedent is essentially when XIV is gearing up for a new expansion coming out. We aren't gonna hear about it until Fan Fest next year. Also, this 'pressure' you imply here isn't true - there is absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Grind Tomes Weekly, work towards BiS, heck if you know how to craft go ahead and craft your Rinascita for the 610. The reason people decide on i612-i615 is because they have higher expectations and want an easy fight, when in reality you can complete the fight in i610 gear if you do your job well and follow mechanics. That simple.
