Was looking forward to Criterion but it was such a disappointment. Dungeons in the regular game are way too easy and then they announce "Variant", "Criterion" and "Criterion Savage". So we think "Oh. Variant must be easy, Criterion normal, and Criterion Savage will be like savage difficulty". I've cleared all fights this raid tier P1S to P8S as well as Criterion but it would be nice to have more content at the Extreme level, whether that be Dungeons or Alliance Raids. Criterion was not a normal/extreme difficulty dungeon I could do with my more casual friends, it was 3 mini-Savage bosses.

    Unfortunately yes, SE understood nothing.

The ask for harder dungeons were meant to be the middle ground between snoozefest normal dungeons and EX/Savage content
, but what they created is Savage POTD 2.0 instead, another side-content completely disconnected from normal dungeons and roulettes to boot.

Yes, there is tiny minority of playerbase who welcomes Savage content for 4-man, but I dare say they are even smaller group than normal Savage crowd (basically sub-section of it).
I have hard time figuring, how could SE devs be so dense.

There is really nothing more to say.

I haven’t tried Criterion Dungeon or the solo one yet. It’s disheartening to hear that they make us fight damage sponges with one hit kill mechanics.

it’s the same reason I avoid savage and now extremes. It’s the, “beat it quick or the mode dies and you miss out,” mentality. I rather just go play a different game. The time investment isn’t worth it since everything gets replaced anyways.

Would rather the developers plan longevity for the content they release. Like deep dungeon or the solo dungeon which I want to try out.

We need more mechanics to dance in regular dungeons with more achievements in each dungeon to discover. The difficulty in our story dungeons should lie in fun dodging stuff and not fighting damage sponges. There are a lot of fast pace dungeons with unique fun stuff happening. More of dodging and puzzles is what makes the game fun.

That solo temple puzzle dungeon with y'shtola back in 5.0 was fun as heck. More of this kind of solo stuff please. Heck add it to gold saucer.

I mean extreme and up is about more complicated dances. I'm not really sure what you are getting at.
And they aren't damage sponges, they just expect you to know how to play your class and put out adequate damage.

I love the fact that the new Criterion dungeon is something that takes time to understand and complete. An MMO is a game that is going to last a long time. I like the fact this new dungeon is made with that in mind. It's something to keep you occupied for awhile. Most dungeons are completed easily on your first try in 15 minutes. I can't think of a single other dungeon that makes me feel like I need pay attention and try. I main healers and having a dungeon that isnt just mindlessly spamming one button is so great right now.
