I think they do, i remember someone telling me the Skalla and Neo Ishgardians outfits were from a contest.

I'd rather a glamour gear design contest. (We've had design contests for role gear before, but not glamour.) The recent outfits have been increasingly disappointing.

We've had plenty of gear design contests. It usually takes them 2-3 years to repeat a Contest

There tons of umbrella's accessories in the game. I think it'd be cool to have an big umbrella mount. Characters can sit on the hooked handle or ride on top as it flies through the air. Design with a favorite NPC or minion on the umbrella.

I bought the one turtle mount using MGP and that was a mistake...all the spinning made me dizzy.
